Employment
Relations Advice

Good staff are always a business’s greatest asset, but finding the right people and employing them is not for the faint-hearted! Employment poses much more risk these days than in the past, but if you put the right systems in place before you start the employment process, you’ll be on the right track. There are a myriad of laws and procedures in place to protect both employer and employee, and we recommend you spend a little time with us discussing your obligations as an employer, and the ‘dos and don’ts’ of employment. We can also provide you with customised employment contracts that meet all the latest requirements for you to use with your staff, all of which will help you avoid expensive personal grievance claims down the track.

A.C.C. Levies

Self-employed people need to pay ACC levies which are based on their level of Liable Earnings, and the type of business activity they engage in. The default cover , will provide you with compensation of 80% of your lost earnings, but our favourite  Coverplus Extra will pay compensation at 100% of a previously-agreed cover. Coverplus Extra also has other features which make it great for self-employed people.  Talk to us about the best way to both manage your ACC cover and reduce your levies.
